Hildesheim, April 24, 2016: Last Sunday, almost 2.500 runners participated in the 30th Wedekindlauf in Hildesheim, despite hail, rain and storm. The KSM runners team was also present.
Temperatures similar to those at the turn of the year did not make it easy both for the runners and spectators. Thus, staying power was required. However, almost all participants of the 5 km and 10 km distances finished the competition.
Maik Rieche from Wernigerode and Jonas Franzki from Hildesheim were our first KSM runners to finish the 10km distance with 37:11 and 38:53 minutes. This was the first place for both in their age classes!
At the 5km distance, Matthias Kuhr was the first from the KSM team in 29 minutes, closely followed by Steffen Gieseler. Svenja Behme mastered this distance within 33 minutes. Hats off and congratulations!
In total, more than 30 employees started in Hildesheim for the KSM team. Thanks a lot for the high level of participation and let¹s keep our fingers crossed for better weather conditions next year!
