KSM auf der EUROGUSS 2018

KSM at the EUROGUSS 2018

Innovations, processes , products – KSM.

The 12th EUROGUSS, Europe’s biggest trade fair for die castings, was held from 16. January – 18. January 2018 at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. Thanks for your visit!

In 2018, the international die casting industry met again at the Euroguss, one of the largest trade fair of the foundry industry in Europe. For the 12th time, the trade fair combined tradition and modern spirit. KSM was again present with innovative solutions, processes and products. A varied supporting program with state-of-the-art topics from science and application supported the three-day-event.

The Euroguss reported a new record in visitor numbers in 2018: About 15.000 specialist trade visitors came to the die casting trade fair in Nuremberg at the three exhibition days (2016: 12.000 visitors).

Snow, rain and squalls could not keep the visitors and exhibitors from visiting the trade fair. This year the international character of the trade visitors was considerably notable – around one in two exhibitors was international. About 640 exhibitors gave information about innovations and trends in the foundry industry. The many discussions at the booths were characterized by items such as E-mobility, structural components, custom-designed alloys and additive production. The feedback from the trade fair visitors – most of them production specialists, developer and procurement managers from the automotive (supply) industry and other industrial sectors – was extremely positive.

The International Die Casting Congress which took place in the NCC Ost was also well attended.

For KSM the EUROGUSS 2018 was once again the right event at the right time which will surely have a positive effect on the business situation. Moreover, the atmosphere in the three completely booked exhibition halls was very positive.  Hence, there are considerations to expand the exhibition by a forth hall in 2020.

KSM produces transmission housings, internal transmission parts as well as engine peripherals with the die casting process. Furthermore the company has developed a special vacuum die casting process, the Controlled Vacuum Casting (CVC®).
