Wernigerode, June 1st, 2016: Wednesday, 1st of June, was the day of the 2nd Harzer Firmenlauf (corporate challenge) – Many KSM runners from the plants in Wernigerode and Hildesheim took part.
KSM participated with the whole management and 52 runners (female and male) in 14 company teams. With this number, KSM was the company with the highest participation of the whole event. „In this runnig competitions, it is all about having fun. It is great that so many employees from KSM go along with us in our various copetitions“, commented Franz Friedrich Butz, the company's CEO. And the KSM team even had excellent results:
The women's relay with Simone Fritsche, Annette Weimann, Denise Bartens and Tanja Buchmann achieved a sensational first place in the overall ranking of the women's competition. The four made the distance of four times 2.5 km in a total time of 41:17 minutes.
The Harzer Firmenlauf is a relay through the whole Bürgerpark (citizen park) of Wernigerode. Four runners build one team that runs a distance of 2.5 km each. The time recording is done with a chip incorporated in the baton.
