1973-1999

1973

Founding as a GmbH (limited liability company) with the goal of producing aluminum and zinc castings. In the period between 1973 and 1990, the company grew to its present dimensions after going through 5 expansion stages.

1990

Acquisition of the facility by Thyssen Industrie AG and integration into the business group Thyssen Guss AG.
 

1993

Merging of the facilities DGT Druckgießtechnik GmbH (Radevormwald), Kloth-Senking Metallgießerei GmbH (Hildesheim) and Thyssen Guss AG, Druckgusswerk Fritz Völkel (Wuppertal) to form Thyssen Guss Aluminium-Technik (TGAT).

 

1995

Certification of Thyssen Guss Aluminium-Technik based on DIN EN ISO 9001 and VDA-6.

1998

Merging of the companies Thyssen Umformtechnik and Thyssen Guss AG to form Thyssen Umformtechnik+Guss GmbH.

1999

Certification of DGT based on QS9000 and VDA 6.1.
 

2002-2005

2002

Acquisition of the shareholdings by ThyssenKrupp Automotive. Renaming to ThyssenKrupp Fahrzeugguss GmbH with the sites Kloth-Senking Metallgießerei, DGT Druckgießtechnik, Druckgusswerk Fritz Völkel, Concordiahütte Bendorf and the shareholdingsThyssenKrupp Aluminium-Technik (100%), ThyssenKrupp Rautenbach Castings GmbH (75%) and ThyssenKrupp Guss S.A. (33%).
Certification of the group as per ISO 14001.

 

2004

Certification of all sites as per ISO TS 16949.

2005

Acquisition of the shareholdings by Electra Partners Europe. Renaming to KSM Castings GmbH, while retaining the current sites and the shareholdings KSM Castings CZ a.s., KSM Castings Wernigerode GmbH
