Transformation from a limited liability company to a stock corporation.

Founding of the light metal foundry.

1966

Company's founder Hermann Kloth dies at the age of 73.

Acquisition of the company by Luitpoldhütte AG, Amberg. Re-organization, closing of the iron foundry and modernization of the aluminum foundry and machining sector.

Initial production at the low pressure sand casting facility.

Acquisition by Thyssen Industrie AG, Essen.

Expansion of the low pressure sand casting prototype foundry.

1993

Merging of the facilities DGT Druckgießtechnik GmbH (Radevormwald), Kloth-Senking Metallgießerei GmbH (Hildesheim) and Thyssen Guss AG, Druckgusswerk Fritz Völkel (Wuppertal) to form Thyssen Guss Aluminium-Technik (TGAT).

1994

Setup of the chassis foundry.

Close focus on vacuum die casting due to re-alignment of the product portfolio.

Kloth-Senking awarded certificates as per DIN EN ISO 9001 and VDA 6 for its Quality Management System.

1998

Merging of the Thyssen Umformtechnik and Thyssen Guss AG to form Thyssen Umformtechnik + Guss GmbH.

Certification of Kloth-Senking Metallgießerei as per QS 9000 and VDA 6.1.

Acquisition of the shareholdings by ThyssenKrupp Automotive. Renaming to ThyssenKrupp Fahrzeugguss GmbH with the sites Kloth-Senking Metallgießerei, DGT Druckgießtechnik, Druckgusswerk Fritz Völkel, Concordiahütte Bendorf and the shareholdings ThyssenKrupp Aluminium-Technik (100%), ThyssenKrupp Rautenbach Castings GmbH (75%) and ThyssenKrupp Guss S.A. (33%). Certification of the group as per ISO 14001.

Setup and commissioning of the first pilot facility for Counter Pressure Casting (CPC) in Europe.

Certification of all sites as per ISO TS 16949.

Acquisition of the shareholdings by Electra Partners Europe. Renaming to KSM Castings GmbH, while retaining the current facilities sites and the shareholdings KSM Castings CZ a.s., KSM Castings Wernigerode GmbH.

 

2007

Kloth-Senking celebrates its 60th Anniversary.
